933 Delaware East/Northeast

These images show the north view of the house with the original brick structure, contemporary middle portion with bent wood rain screen made from reclaimed douglas fir and stucco back portion. The two car garage in the back has a rubber membrane with wire trellis system for honeysuckle vines. The house went from just over 500 sq. ft. to 2100 sq. ft.

The last image shows the house as viewed from Delaware street. The brick on the northern section of this facade was demolished and restacked. The front porch is painted in a traditional blue and is covered by a steel awning fabricated by Jonah Seibel. The rain screen form to the south covers the stair. The roof is standing seam metal in a slate color.

Matt crafted the front entry door out of bookmatched mulberry. The grain pattern of the wood has sparked comments of resembling an alien or possibly a perched black crow. It's sweet!
