The stair handrail and guardrail was fabricated and constructed with steel, reclaimed walnut and a stainless steel cable rail system. The stairs were built with reclaimed fir and pine using the same detailing as used on the joist tails in the exposed ceiling over the kitchen and living room. Jonah Seibel fabricated all the steel parts. Matt created all the fine joinery on the handrail. The two columns in the first image are reclaimed walnut.
